Paula Lozano de Lemus earned a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation and in the Humanities from Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) in 2018, where she also completed a master’s degree in International Communication, Translation, and Interpretation in 2019. She also holds a Certificate of Expertise in Legal and Judicial Translation and Interpretation from Jaume I University (UJI), which she earned in 2019. In 2018, she received an Introduction to Research Scholarship (PPI:1707) at Pablo de Olavide University, during which she compiled a corpus of transcripts from actual trials for later use as teaching material and for the development of resources for court interpreters. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation at Pablo de Olavide University, which focuses on evaluating the quality of interpretation in criminal proceedings in Andalusia; she balances this work with her job as a translator, proofreader, and layout designer (English-Spanish) at a Seville-based board game publisher. Her main areas of research are court interpreting, legal translation, and the creation of specialized resources for legal translators and interpreters.
